Isik was born and raised in a Muslim family in Turkey. Although her family didn't lack anything financially, Isik had a very difficult and sad upbringing. Her father was a womanizer. Her mother in turn vented her anger from her husband’s infidelity towards Isik every time she found out about his affairs. Isik's mother abused her daughter continually, even being told they hoped she was never born. Isik was often beaten up and they would off her beautiful long hair. One time she was molested by a relative's son who was a lot older than her. What made things worse for Isik was that she learned that her parents knew about the molestation all along and did nothing about it.
Isik was dedicated at studying her Qur'an, through her great grandmother’s teaching. Isik had started to pray and fast since she was seven, but she never heard back from Allah. When Isik was older, she studied Islamic literature and met someone in college that was a fanatical Muslim. They eventually got married, but then her husband started to become extremely abusive. She was spat on, pulled by the hair, and slapped in public; yet her husband would excuse himself because the Qur'an allowed it.
Isik needed to divorce this man. Once she graduated, she bought a one way ticket to the US and left her husband. She married again in the US, hoping it would be a better relationship but it also ended up in failure. As a woman in her late twenties, she was now a single mother under great depression. At the time, she was working for a Christian man who loved Jesus. She felt even more miserable that someone could love their God. Just when she was planning to end her life, she asked God why He hated her so much. She felt abandoned by Allah. Around that time, her boss surprisingly asked to meet her. Her boss had a very uncomfortable message to share with her. For some reason, her boss felt very strongly that Jesus wanted to tell her that she was NOT abandoned. That He loved her even when she was abused as a child. This experience made Isik accept Jesus into her life, and the burden she carried in her life she was able to let go.
Watch her amazing testimony that continues into a path of forgiveness towards her mother, and her father, who once hated Armenian Christians, ended up accepting Jesus as his Saviour and now is attending an Armenian church. Isik is now married and her whole family is serving God. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ7skWvh5rA
Turkish woman decides to follow Jesus!
Angel is half Turkish and half English. She was born and raised in a Muslim household.
She was involved in a romantic relationship during her teenage years that eventually ended up breaking her heart. Because of this, Angel started reading the Qur'an more. She travel and moved around the world. She got to know a friend called Jacob who was a Christian and he explained his belief to her. Angel was extremely confused on how God could have a son in Jesus Christ. She ended up getting a Bible, which she used to compare what it said with what the Qur'an said. Unfortunately, because Jacob lived far away in Budapest, she felt alone in trying to understand more about God.
She remembered, someone once told her that she could simply ask Jesus to reveal himself and He would. So Angel did exactly that and for a period of two weeks, she had many powerful dreams. She used to wear a necklace with the name Allah in it. One time, Angel had a nightmare and when she woke up, she noticed an imprint of Allah in her hand from her own necklace. Because Angel sensed that this was a spiritual attack, she felt the need to have it removed. Her multiple experiences led her to understand she was not following the right path and God was giving her signs in order to change. So she believed in Jesus as her Saviour.
Finally, Angel felt the need to be baptized in obedience to what Jesus commanded. Angel told her friend Jacob the good news and asked if he would baptize her in a river, and he agreed. She was very scared about sharing with others about her new faith, but God continued to encourage her to be a light, not to be hidden under a basket, but to be put in the middle of a room to shine for all to see, in the spirit of Matthew chapter five, and repeated once again in Mark chapter four and Luke chapter eleven. Listen to her unique testimony and be encouraged because God answers honest prayers to know Him.
Yuce was a Muslim from Turkey. He learned to memorize Qur'an verses to pray from his grandmother. One day he had a dream - he saw some women saying 'He is not in the grave', and left with fear and joy. He didn't know what this meant.
And then he saw and ad for a "free Bible". When he read up to Matthew chapter 27 and 28 regarding the resurrection of Christ, he was shocked to see his dream explained by the Bible. His thought was immediately - Allah, please don't test me like this. I don't want to become a Christian.
Yuce had questions to professors about the differences between the Qur'an and the Bible. Namely, why does the Bible say Jesus was crucified and the other doesn't? The professors said the Bible was corrupted but failed to give any factual evidence. So Yuce spent hours in a library doing his own research. What did history say about Jesus?
Yuce was at a crossroad. He was a Muslim. The Bible was telling the truth. But the Bible also pointed Jesus as divine. Thomas the apostle said 'My Lord and my God'. Jesus was worshipped. As a Muslim, he couldn't accept that. But it was the truth. He decided to become a Christian. Then his parents found out. They wanted Yuce to leave the house, but then they saw the change Yuce had in relationship to them. So his family has come to terms since seeing the positive changes in Yuce. Now he is studying seminary to serve Jesus, his Lord and Saviour. Please listen to his amazing testimony!
