Haji Muhammad Achmed was a devout Muslim from Ethiopia. He got his 'Haji' title because he had participated in the Muslim pilgrimage. He was regarded as a leader in his Mosque. He would gather young men to beat up Christians as they were going to church. He even burnt 7 Bibles, something he is remorseful of.
But one night, as Muhammad was sleeping, he had a dream. A voice said "Muhammad, Muhammad, come out of that cave/darkness and follow Me". He knew it was the voice of the Christian God. After telling his mother, he was kicked out from his house. He did not wan to listen to the voice. Then he had a second dream, and the voice of God was more angry this time. Muhammad still refused, but he then got very sick. He tried getting help from many hospitals to no avail
Muhammad remembered there were some missionaries he knew about. He went to talk to them, and they shared the gospel with him. He was healed on the same day he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour for the forgiveness of sins.
He, along with a now Christian friend he had beat up before his conversion, received training with AIMS (Accelerated International Mission Strategies), to reach other parts of his home country Ethiopia with the power of the Gospel. Listen to his short 3 minute testimony here!
Fatuma is a mother of 9 children living in a small village in Ethiopia. She got very ill for 2 months and one day, when her mother came to see her, she was found dead. Fatuma was raised Muslim, but had converted to Christianity. Many of Fatuma's relatives who were Muslim were weeping and waling after Fatuma's death.
While this happened, a missionary called Warsaw was walking by. What nobody knew was that when Warsaw accepted Jesus as his Saviour, God told him that He would use him to revive people from the dead. So Warsaw started praying for Fatuma.
While this was happening, Fatuma's soul was lifted high. She met some people that she knew and was welcomed to a place she described as Heaven. People were dressed in gold, it was a very beautiful place. Those that knew her were pleading to let Fatuma go back because she was young.
Then suddenly, Fatuma was brought back to life, sitting up on her bed. Her whole family was amazed. They concluded that the God that Warsaw prayed to, must be a very powerful God. So many people present that were mourning for Fatuma, instead saw an incredible miracle from God. Watch her testimony here!
This is the story of Mohammed Amen from Ethiopia. When he was born, his mother (from a Muslim background) had promised to dedicate this child to serve God. So Mohammed went to do Quranic studies since he was little and studied Arabic. He even got a scholarship to go to Saudi Arabia to study and became a Sheikh.
Mohammed was very well respected, and was the Sheikh of a large Mosque in Juma. But then, Mohammed got ill. He lost so much weight that he was beyond recognition. He had contracted AIDS. Even though he was a respected Sheikh in the outside, he slept with prostitutes which led to the disease. Mohammed was bed ridden for 4 months. His family was told to prepare for his funeral.
But then, one night, Mohammed had a vision of bright light figure. It was Jesus wearing doctor clothes. Jesus said: 'Mohammed, rise up!'. Mohammed was confused. He was too weak to get up. Jesus touched his sick body and he felt as if he was starting to heal. Miraculously, within a week of the incident, he was able to walk. And the tests that had shown AIDS fully attacking his body, now miraculously tested negative.
From this experience, Mohammed knew Jesus was more than a prophet. Mohammed knew Jesus was the Son of God and he decided to follow Jesus. Now, Mohammed is an evangelist, going to small tribes in Ethiopia, sharing his amazing testimony.

Abdu got a dream about Jesus when he was 16 after reading from a borrowed Bible. Suleman and Salima, Abdu's parents, were fundamentalist Muslims. Abdu's neighbours and village leaders hated him and attacked him. They were about to take full measure and kill Abdu. Even Abdu's father wanted to kill him. Thankfully, Abdu was spared and he was exiled to another village and worked at a church as a security guard. He read 100's of books about Christianity to know more about Jesus.
Abdu's mother heard Abdu was not drinking alcohol and doing good (different than his peers). So she secretly went to see Abdu because she missed him dearly. The change in Abdu was clear enough that she started to consider Christianity. Yet it still took 10 years for her to believe in Jesus. Changes in both of their characters affected Abdu's father Suleman, and a year later he also decided to follow Jesus! Now they have 40 family members following Jesus.
