This is the story of Bruno from Morocco. He was very devoted to Islam. He went to Egypt to study Arabic and became as proficient as he is in French. He went to study and live in Medina, where he got the title of Hafiz for memorizing the whole Qur'an. He followed one of the most purest and strictest form of Islam - Salafi. He became a Salafi Imam. He did a pilgrimage to the Hajj. It was not a good experience as the stampede almost killed him.
He had studied the Bible in order to debate and convert people to Islam. He did in fact convert 100s of people to Islam, something that he now regrets. Bruno's father, interestingly, was a Christian. His father died of brain cancer and Bruno failed to convert him to Islam. He later went to Morocco to teach Arabic, but was expelled from Morocco as a Salafi Muslim and he went to Belgium.
He had many questions, starting with the crucifixion. Why did history prove that Jesus died? Why did history proved that he resurrected? Why did Islam say the opposite 6 centuries later? Bruno had preferred to die rather than to become a Christian. The doubts he got by reading the Bible, he thought, came from Satan. One day he got up to pray (started 'our father who is in heaven'), so he slapped himself. He thought he was going crazy. More questions came up. Why did Christians and Jews believe the promise went through Isaac and Muslims think its through Ishmael, 600 years after Jesus' time? How can a 1000 year foundation suddenly be questioned?
As Bruno yielded to the Holy Spirit, his questions were all answered through many apparent 'coincidences'. So Bruno gave his life to Jesus. Listen to his amazing testimony here!
Kenza was born in Morocco to an Islamic household as her family moved to the US. She was Muslim by the book, but her heart wasn't sold out for Allah. She had followed out of fear. She had planned the go to the Hajj when she was very old so that all her sins would be forgiven.
Through her teenage years and into her twenties, she started to have dreams. A recurring dream would have her wake up around 2am saying - 'Kenza, your father is calling you'. And she thought this was God calling her, but yet in Islam calling Allah a father was straight up blasphemy.
Kenza went to Mosques looking for comfort, but each time she felt worse instead. But she kept on going because that's how her mind was shaped to follow. Kenza had Qur'an versions on her walls through a stage of depression. The recitation gave her no relief. Kenza had a dilemma: Take her own life and be guaranteed hell, or face an Allah that hated her. Her family condemned her even more. Her mosque echoed the condemnation.
One night she went to sleep and saw the end of times. She saw a man in a white robe descending. She knew it was Jesus somehow, and felt peace which made no sense when anxiety was her ongoing default. That made her question why Jesus was definitely more than a prophet in Islam. It was difficult to wrap her mind around that. It took 8-10 months to accept and follow Jesus even after the dream. Kenza knows the cost of following Jesus from a Muslim background. Kenza knew she would have to leave her parents and siblings - everything she had ever known.
Kenza's parents believed that their own salvation would be at stake if any of their children left Islam. Her parents would have freaked out if they saw her with a Bible. Kenza was afraid of her own life given the honour killings that happen, even in the US. She counted the cost, and decided to follow Jesus. But she didn't know what it meant! She still had the legalistic mindset of needing to pass tests in order to become a Christian. Kenza went from an Allah that wants you to die for him, to a God that sent His son to die for you. When she realized this at a parking lot, she accepted Jesus in her heart.

This is the story of Samira, a woman born in Morocco and lived in the Netherlands. Since she was young, she was born into a Muslim family following an Islamic culture.
Since she was very young, she was always afraid of the dark. She had voices talking in her head non-stop, making her restless and never having peace.
As she was growing up, she became depressed and got involved with drugs. One night, as she was in her 20s, she went to sleep. Suddenly her hands felt like there were on fire. It was going up her body and her heart started to beat very fast. She thought she was going to die. For the first time, she cried out and asking if God is real, to save her. "Don't let me die!" She started to name all the things that are wrong. "I will do anything You want, just let me live". Then she had a vision of a light. Then the fire went away, and she went to sleep because she couldn't understand what happened. She woke up with peace for the first time in her life.
Samira stopped the drug use and partying, and decided to look for God in books. She read the Qur'an, the Bible, looked at New Age ... whatever could help her know the truth. After 8 months, she felt someone behind her and knew it was Jesus. She was overcome by a divine sense of love. But which Jesus? Only the Jesus of the Bible made sense. Hear her amazing story here!
Lisa Nazha is originally from Morocco but grew up in the Netherlands. Her father was a violent man, a womanizer whose sexual desire almost led him to nearly rape Lisa's sister. She grew up with a very disturbing upbringing. She was called a Jew, which within a Muslim family was equal to a cuss word.
Lisa had a dream when she was 8. She saw Jesus. And Jesus asked her if she wanted to live in His house, and she said yes. She understood this meant accepting Jesus into her heart, and she did.
As she grew up, Lisa was bullied. But through those discouragements, she got visions of Jesus that encouraged her to fight through the valleys of her life.
Lisa got married with a tall, Catholic man. Unfortunately, he did not love Jesus. Although there were 7 medical conditions with Lisa that she was deemed barren, she had a revelation that she would have a child, a son. Against all odds, she had a child just as it was revealed to her. Unfortunately, her husband turned out to be a liar, a womanizer. Lisa finally left this man.
It's been decades, but Lisa continues to faithfully serve Jesus - sharing the joy of following God with people in Netherlands.
Fatima's sister dreams about ending up in hell and demons approached her. Then an angel said 'The Messiah is coming!' and Jesus and his light came to save her. Jesus said: "I am the truth and I am the life. I'm coming back and you have to focus on me". There was a sudden joy, but then the gladness was taken away unfortunately.
Fatima met a lady that felt moved to tell her 'Jesus loves you and has a great plan for you'. God had prompted this lady to pray for a Fatima a week ago. Fatima saw something different in her. She wanted what this lady had. This lady led her to Christ and gave her a Bible. So in 2020 Fatima decided to follow Jesus.
Fatima felt like the prodigal son, as a daughter in Christ. She was encouraged to find that other ex-Muslims had similar stories like hers. Now Fatima knows the void in her heart can only be filled with Jesus.
Praise the Lord that we can go to Him in our brokenness.
