DREAMS ABOUT JESUS - AFRICA (UGANDA)

  This is the story of Waliyah from Uganda. She was brought up in a Muslim household where her father was a Sheikh, a Muslim leader with in depth knowledge of Islam. She used to pray 5 times a day, but didn’t understand what she recited to Allah. She attended Muslim school when she was young. Waliyah saw Islam as a fear based religion.

Waliyah had several dreams about Jesus. In her first one, she was called to pray for His people in His name (Jesus). She recalls a scary dream where it was Judgement Day and demons where throwing people into Hell. Everyone was screaming but nobody was helping them. When it was her turn, a voice from above said to leave her alone, because she had received salvation through Jesus from a specific pastor she had never heard of. Then she woke up.

Several days later, she shared her dream with a friend. This friend happened to know about the pastor that Waliyah heard of from her dream. Waliyah decided to call to the pastor who hosted a TV/Radio program. He asked people to put their hand on the body part that was hurting. Since Waliyah had terrible ulcers at the time requiring surgery, she put her hand on her belly. She got miraculously healed. That prompted Waliyah to go visit the pastor in person. When she saw a man in the church, she heard a voice confirm that that was the man.  She gave her life to Christ following this series of event. 

The pastor challenged her to denounce anything and everything that is not attached to God. She had those burnt. Her spiritual experiences following that were very extreme. Two years later, her father found out that she had become a Christian. When she was confronted, she had wanted to deny Christ but again a voice convicted her to tell the truth. It was painful for Waliyah, she was very close to her dad. Within 10 minutes, all her relatives messaged her and denouncing her. She was excommunicated right away. Years later, a total of 4 of her siblings also came to Christ. Then, her father was very ill. During this time, her family read the Bible to him. And against all odds just four days before his death, he accepted Jesus as his Saviour.

  This is the story of Umar Mulinde from Uganda. He was born and raised in a Muslim household. He knows Arabic and thoroughly studied the Qur'an and specialized in interpreting Hadiths, which are a collection of traditions containing sayings of the Islamic prophet that constitute a significant source of guidance for Muslims. He was very zealous for Allah and held the responsibility of leading a mosque for a year.

Then Mulinde got a dream. In his dream, his hands and feet were all bound up and fire surrounded him. He was completely terrified. But someone standing on the right called Mulinde to repent and follow Jesus. Instinctively, Mulinde recited his Islamic prayers hoping the dream would go away. But the nightmares continued for weeks and weeks. 

Then he recalled once hearing a person preaching with the Bible and the Qur'an. He remembered how interesting it was that Isa was mentioned ninety plus times and Jesus' mother Mary also appears ninety plus times in the Qur’an. No other names are mentioned more in the Qur'an. He remembered the person said to pray in Jesus name, and things would happen. And it did. Umar gave his life to Jesus. He met true peace and love. He discovered the truth. 

But that is the beginning of suffering persecution for Jesus, as he was attacked with acid thrown at his face. The facial scars completely changed his life. But instead of hating his enemies, Mulinde chose to forgive and continues to share Jesus' love through forgiveness. Watch this amazing testimony of a persecuted follower of Christ.
