Ramadan 2026 - Borderless Canada Prayer Guide

  Marika was invited to join our small women's group by Kamila, one of her Kabyle friends. An independent young woman who loves to try new experiences, she feels very comfortable in the group, but it took us a while to be able to talk to her more deeply. Marika has a very eclectic circle of friends, including Muslims and Christians. She is very mixed in her religion, which she does not really practice, taking a little of what suits her. During an evening when she was alone with us (three Christians), she expressed her questions and the misunderstandings she sees among Muslims. “Why, after their pilgrimage, which should transform them for the better, are Muslims even harder on their wives and children? Why are they even more bitter?” This opened a door for us to share the Gospel with her, this power that transforms the heart in a profound way. 

  For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.

1. Pray that Marika would continue attending the Petit Groupe Bible study this year, where we will be launching a Creation-to-Christ study.
2. Pray that God’s Word would penetrate her heart—bringing conviction, clarity, and a deepening awareness of its truth, and causing them to doubt Islam.
3. As she has just lost a loved one, pray that the Lord will reveal Himself to her in the gentleness of His presence and show her that He is the God of all comfort. Pray that we will have wisdom and appropriate words in these difficult circumstances.

  Marika a été invitée à rejoindre notre petit groupe de femmes par Kamila, l’une de ses amies kabyles. Jeune femme indépendante, qui aime expérimenter de nouvelles choses, elle se sent très à l’aise dans le groupe, mais il nous a fallu un certain temps pour pouvoir discuter plus profondément avec elle.

Marika a un cercle d’amis très éclectique, comprenant des musulmans et des chrétiens. Sa pratique religieuse est très mixte : elle ne la suit pas vraiment, prenant un peu de ce qui lui convient. Lors d’une soirée où elle était seule avec nous (trois chrétiens), elle a exprimé ses questions et les incompréhensions qu’elle observe chez les musulmans : « Pourquoi, après leur pèlerinage, qui devrait les transformer positivement, les musulmans sont-ils encore plus durs avec leurs épouses et leurs enfants ? Pourquoi sont-ils encore plus amers ? »

Cela nous a ouvert une porte pour partager l’Évangile avec elle, cette puissance qui transforme le cœur de manière profonde.

  En effet, il y a un seul Dieu et il y a aussi un seul médiateur entre Dieu et les hommes: un homme, Jésus-Christ.
