Wadida has known our team members for several years. I met her when she brought her three daughters to our Impact Kids children's clubs. Wadida is a highly educated woman, very strong in her Muslim faith and very defensive toward Christianity. And yet, she has been attending our women's small group for three years now and is the most motivated to come... We have experienced some very tense moments, where spiritual warfare is very present. In the past, when we opened the Bible, she would literally freeze and immediately defend Islam. “The Bible is corrupt, Islam is the true religion, logical in every way.” And yet, she struggles with a lot of anxiety and fear of death. Recently, she went on a pilgrimage to Mecca. She says she felt at peace, but when she returned to “real” life, that peace was gone... Her behavior towards us has changed; she is much calmer and we can have constructive discussions. During our last meeting, we were able to share the Gospel with her again. She says she is open to reading the New Testament in exchange for me reading the Quran.

Wadida connaît nos membres d’équipe depuis plusieurs années. Je l’ai rencontrée lorsqu’elle a amené ses trois filles à nos clubs pour enfants Impact Kids. Wadida est une femme très instruite, profondément ancrée dans sa foi musulmane et très défensive envers le christianisme.
Et pourtant, elle assiste à notre petit groupe de femmes depuis trois ans maintenant et est la plus motivée à venir… Nous avons traversé des moments très tendus, où la guerre spirituelle était très présente. Par le passé, lorsque nous ouvrions la Bible, elle se figeait littéralement et défendait immédiatement l’Islam : « La Bible est corrompue, l’Islam est la vraie religion, logique en tout point. »
Pourtant, elle lutte avec beaucoup d’anxiété et la peur de la mort. Récemment, elle est partie en pèlerinage à La Mecque. Elle dit avoir ressenti la paix, mais à son retour à la « vraie » vie, cette paix avait disparu…
Son comportement envers nous a changé ; elle est beaucoup plus calme et nous pouvons avoir des discussions constructives. Lors de notre dernière rencontre, nous avons pu partager l’Évangile avec elle à nouveau. Elle dit être ouverte à lire le Nouveau Testament en échange du fait que je lise le Coran.

En effet, il vaut mieux souffrir, si telle est la volonté de Dieu, en faisant le bien qu'en faisant le mal. "
