At a less frequented street evangelism intersection, one of the first questions we received was, “Did you know that you are preaching in a Muslim neighbourhood?” And to that, we responded, “Yes, that’s why we're here!” We had a conversation with Ali, a Muslim from Sudan. He challenged us, saying that Jesus called God “Allah, Allah” while on the cross. But we corrected him, stating that Jesus actually said, “Eli, Eli lema sabachthani.” Ali had the opportunity to learn the real reason why Jesus used these words. These words were from a 1,000-year-old prophecy of King David, found in Psalm 22, which depicted the crucifixion of the Messiah, even though that form of torture was not yet invented. Scripture always defends itself.

Ali proudly claimed that he will always be a Muslim, and that his children, Hassan and Abdul, who were attentively listening, would also always be Muslims.

 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

2. Pray for Sudanese Muslims living in the GTA to find the truth in Christ.

3. Please pray for the children being raised in Muslim environments to have the freedom to seek the Lord and that Jesus would reveal Himself to them.

  Lors d’un point d’évangélisation de rue peu fréquenté, l’une des premières questions que nous avons reçues fut : « Saviez-vous que vous prêchez dans un quartier musulman ? » Et nous avons répondu : « Oui, c’est pourquoi nous sommes ici ! »

Nous avons eu une conversation avec Ali, un musulman du Soudan. Il nous a défiés en disant que Jésus aurait appelé Dieu « Allah, Allah » sur la croix. Nous l’avons corrigé, en lui expliquant que Jésus a en réalité dit : « Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani. » Ali a ainsi eu l’occasion de comprendre la véritable raison pour laquelle Jésus a prononcé ces mots. Ces paroles proviennent d’une prophétie vieille de 1 000 ans du roi David, trouvée dans le Psaume 22, qui décrivait la crucifixion du Messie, même si ce type de torture n’existait pas encore. L’Écriture se défend toujours elle-même.

Ali a fièrement affirmé qu’il resterait toujours musulman, et que ses enfants, Hassan et Abdul, qui écoutaient attentivement, resteraient eux aussi toujours musulmans.

 Nous avons auprès de lui cette assurance: si nous demandons quelque chose conformément à sa volonté, il nous écoute.
