Ramadan 2026 - Borderless Canada Prayer Guide

  We first met Fatima at a summer English program run by a local church. Her husband, Baraka, stopped by a few times, and a friendship began. They had arrived in Canada from Morocco earlier this year and did not yet have close friends.

When we visited their home, we were warmly welcomed, and Baraka quickly opened conversations about spiritual topics. We were encouraged by their curiosity and anticipated many more conversations like this. However, just one week later, we learned that Baraka had accepted a better job across the country, and they would be moving within days.

Before they left, we invited them to our home, gave them an English Bible, and prayed together. After driving them home, we sat in the car and talked about grace. We continue to stay in touch through text messages, voice notes, and occasional video calls.

Baraka shared that they were looking for another English class at a church because “there are good people at church.” This is not something they would have been taught in Morocco, and we praise God for how He is already at work in their hearts. Through connections in their new city, they are now attending English classes at a church. Still, they are struggling with loneliness and the challenges of relocating yet again.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

1. Pray that Fatima and Baraka would meet more Christians and develop deep, lasting friendships.
2. Pray that they would hear the Gospel and that God would open their hearts and minds to understand it.
3. Pray that they would seek Jesus and find the fulfillment and belonging they are longing for.

  Nous avons rencontré Fatima pour la première fois lors d’un programme d’été d’anglais organisé par une église locale. Son mari, Baraka, est venu à quelques reprises, et une amitié a commencé. Ils étaient arrivés au Canada depuis le Maroc plus tôt cette année et n’avaient pas encore d’amis proches.

Lorsque nous avons visité leur domicile, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis, et Baraka a rapidement entamé des conversations sur des sujets spirituels. Leur curiosité nous a encouragés, et nous avons anticipé de nombreuses autres discussions de ce type. Cependant, seulement une semaine plus tard, nous avons appris que Baraka avait accepté un meilleur emploi à l’autre bout du pays, et qu’ils allaient déménager dans quelques jours.

Avant leur départ, nous les avons invités chez nous, leur avons offert une Bible en anglais et avons prié ensemble. Après les avoir raccompagnés, nous sommes restés dans la voiture à discuter de la grâce. Nous continuons à garder le contact par messages texte, notes vocales et appels vidéo occasionnels.

Baraka a partagé qu’ils cherchaient un autre cours d’anglais dans une église parce que « il y a de bonnes personnes à l’église ». Ce n’est pas quelque chose qu’on leur aurait enseigné au Maroc, et nous louons Dieu pour la manière dont Il agit déjà dans leurs cœurs. Grâce aux connexions dans leur nouvelle ville, ils assistent maintenant à des cours d’anglais dans une église. Cependant, ils éprouvent encore la solitude et les défis liés à ce nouveau déménagement. 

 Venez à moi, vous tous qui êtes fatigués et courbés sous un fardeau, et je vous donnerai du repos. Acceptez mes exigences et laissez-vous instruire par moi, car je suis doux et humble de cœur, et vous trouverez le repos pour votre âme.
